Challenges, not problems
A super-efficient and small team was needed because this was a startup, and specs kept evolving continuously as iterative development strategies were applied. The technology stack included distributed databases. The constant evolution of the mobile OS platform made the OS a moving target.
Solutions, not ideas
We chose a tech stack to cut down perhaps 40% of development, by propagating messages via a distributed database (CouchDB) across devices. We delivered in sprints and responded to rapid changes in priority. We also set up a cycle of stack upgrades to keep the app current with changes in the Android and iOS releases.
Now that’s value
Redefined how a lean startup driven app, or a seemingly innocuous use-case of chatting, can change the way people collaborate. And did it with a superb, reliable tech stack.
